Supported by the Channel Islands Lottery
The Association of Jersey Charities has generously donated £30,000 to Autism Jersey towards the salary of the Fundraising and Marketing Manager for 2018.
The funding comes from the Channel Islands Lottery.
* The Channel Islands Lottery is the oldest lottery in the British Isles and has been providing millions of pounds of funding for local charities and good causes since the Jersey Lottery was established in 1966.
*In 2016 the Christmas lottery raised £1,250,482 for charities.
*The 2017 draw will be held on Tuesday 19 December, with a top prize of at least £950,000.
In her first year [July 2016-July 2017], the current Fundraising & Marketing Manager has:
*Helped to bring in essential funding to run the charity
*Redesigned the website www.autismjersey.org
*Introduced a new event, Human Table Football
*Kept Autism Jersey’s profile high in the community
The Fundraising & Marketing Manager’s role includes:
*Seeking corporate sponsorship for specific projects
*Seeking regular donors, through members, companies, legacies, individuals and trusts
*Organising some ‘headline’ events
*Supporting others who organise fundraisers for Autism Jersey
*Keeping the website and Facebook up to date
*Raising awareness of the charity, particularly in our ‘awesome’ month of April
It is an exceptionally busy role which the charity could not do without and we are very grateful to the Association of Jersey Charities for their support.
