Hundreds of families went to the Perquage at Sandybrook on Easter Saturday to watch 1,200 yellow plastic ducks ‘race’ downstream – despite a few downpours of rain.
The annual Duck Race, which is sponsored by Romerils, has raised more than £3,000 for Autism Jersey. Islanders enjoyed other charity stalls too, with Brighter Futures, Brig-Y-Don and Beresford Street Kitchen all attending, as well as the Jersey Garrison and States of Jersey Police.
The race goes ahead whatever the weather – and organiser Dr Helen Miles said: ‘Thank you to everyone who supported us and turned out on such a wet day. They are obviously all quackers!’
All the winners have been notified. Thanks again to all who donated prizes.
