World Autism Acceptance Week

On 2nd - 8th April, in line with the National Autistic Society, we dedicate ourselves to this annual event to promote knowledge, awareness, understanding and primarily acceptance of autism spectrum conditions.

During this week, we will be sharing valuable information and resources across our social media platforms. As well as hosting a stall in town, offering a relaxed and fun environment full of information about autism and the services we provide as a charity.

What’s happening

  • Our stall will be set up in town during this week at Charing Cross, except for Saturday, when we will be stationed at West Centre from 10am until 2pm, face painting will be available for free! (Only on Saturday). Please note: The stall will not be operating on Sunday, the 6th.

  • Fort regent will light up in blue: as well as being our charity’s colour, blue is often associated with autism as it’s a calming colour capable of making us feel more relaxed and comfortable.

  • The Autism Jersey bin truck: Keep an eye out for the Autism Jersey bin truck, featuring our branding on the side. This is a great way to spot us while out and about, helping to raise awareness in the community.

  • Information stand at Grand Marché: we will be hosting an information stand at the Grand Marché on Thursday 3rd.

  • Plus lots of information and resources across our social media platforms.

  • Dad’s Dinner: we will be hosting our second Dad’s Dinner of 2025 on Tuesday 8th April. We offer fathers / carers a warm and welcoming space to connect, share experiences, and unwind with like-minded individuals—all while enjoying a delicious meal at Saffron Restaurant.
